What to do in Belgravia London
History of Belgravia
Look back. Belgravia began its development at a modest beginning around the 17th century on a desolate land called the Five Fields. Its reputation is well-known because it had a notorious danger where a number of crimes and traffickers had ruled but the ordinary citizens avoided. Upon the marriage between Sir Thomas Grosvenor and Mary Douglas Grosvenor, the Grosvenor family had vast areas in common. However only when King George IV decided on Buckingham House as a permanent palace did the Grosvenors start concentrating on Belgravia in the early 1800s. The housing boom after Napoleon helped the region grow as an elegant city centre. And one of the most sought after areas to live in London.
The Belgravia district lies to the south west of Buckingham Palace and is the perfect place for tourists to visit.
